The course is aimed at people who have a lawnmower/strimmer/chain-saw/hedgecutter and who would like to understand how it works and how to maintain it.  The course is tailored towards pedestrian lawnmowers rather than the larger ride-on types.

Course content:  

• types of lawnmower;
• types of engines - 2 and 4 stroke engine theory;
• checks before use - practical
• the annual service - theory and practical
• safety
• tools and oils needed

Bring your own lawnmower, strimmer or hedgecutter, plus the instruction manual (if you don't have one, give us a call in advance and we may be able to find one).

Thank you so so much for a lovely day.  You and your hubby made me feel so welcome.  I have not stopped talking about the course to all my friends because it was great.  Simon was so nice to ask any question to.  He really is a clever man.  I now know how to service and maintain all my gardening equipment and also know a few tricks of the trade which Simon told us about.  I can't get over your house and its beautiful feature, especially the floor.  The hens were sonice to see wandering around in the garden and I loved Mackerel the cat.  The goats were also nice to see.  One of the best bits of the day was LUNCH!  It was lovely!  I tried to make Bob's special salad dressing but it did not taste like his.  Those jackets were out of this world.  Sorry I know I'm going on but I just really enjoyed everything about the whole day, and just to top it off home made carrot cake before my trip home.  Thank you so much all three of you and hope to see you all again soon.  Lots of love HC.
